Macs' Story

Little Mack (who became Little "Macs" after our daughter, shown, said she really wanted to name our next dog "Max") came to us from the streets of Georgia where he'd been picked up as a stray and fostered by the wonderful people of the Society of Humane Friends of Georgia. We'd seen a post in 2017 at Susie's Senior Dogs and we drove right down to get him.  They estimated his age at 10 years and, with a number of health problems, they said they hoped we could make his "last year or two" good ones.  He did them one better. Macs blessed us a wonderful 6 years. He's known for having been the dog in the family with the most ("old man") personality.

Here's a little video tribute.

He also has his own Instagram Page

Addie's Story

Addie came to us in 2004 and was an integral part of our family for almost 18 years.  The veterinarian asked me once how our dogs have such longevity. I just replied that they must know they're loved. Addie was rescued as a puppy from the Radford VA Animal Shelter via Pound Pals of Radford.

Here's a video tribute for you.
